Flexitol cracked heel balm is specially formulated for the treatment of rough, dry and cracked heels. Recommended as a treatment and preventative product for diabetic and general foot care. Flexitol contains 25% Urea for the removal of dead skin cells. Urea is non toxic, hypoallergenic and a topical anaesthetic. Urea increases water uptake in the stratum corneum and gives it a high water binding capacity. It disrupts the normal bonding of the keratin protein. Flexitol heel balm moisturises to keep skin supple and has occlusive properties creating a barrier function.
